Visiting the garden is free and does not require any type of reservation. The garden is a City of Raleigh park and is open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.

The Raleigh Rose Garden is located behind Raleigh Little Theatre at 301 Pogue Street, Raleigh, NC 27607. The garden is filled with many varieties of roses so is a delight to wander through and get a closer look.

Here’s a little peek at our session at the Rose Garden for now though: Stephenson Amphitheatre at the Raleigh Rose Garden is a 2,000 seat venue situated in the University Park neighborhood at the corner of Pogue Street and Clark Avenue and only a few blocks from Hillsborough Street. Very much looking forward to celebrating with them at the Angus Barn in March! Situated to the north of the North Carolina State University campus, this 6.5-acre rose garden and indoor-outdoor theater complex is sited on the original 1873-1925 North Carolina State Fair Grounds, which was also used as a military training camp during World War I and was briefly developed as a racetrack. The Garden, and the Raleigh Little Theatre in particular, was the perfect backdrop for these two, who spent the first couple years of their relationship working together at Dollywood! They live in Atlanta now but met me for engagement photos while they were up in Raleigh for a family wedding.
